This Higashiyama Botanical Garden is municipal, but there is a stylish wedding hall inside. It is very rare in Japan for a municipal park to have a wedding hall.
When you look at the plants, you sometimes see people having wedding parties.

There are many different flowers planted here.

Rosemary is a favourite with Japanese gardening enthusiasts. It is fortunate in its strong nature to grow anywhere and has recently been used for hedges.
Miscanthus sinensis is a typical Japanese autumn plant. Miscanthus has been loved by the Japanese because of its beautiful appearance.

This is a curious plant with only one leaf emerging from the ground. Called Tongue fern, it is a member of the fern family and grows in relatively dry areas. However, it rarely appears in people’s houses.
When my parents went on a trip to the north of Gifu Prefecture a long time ago, they brought it as a souvenir and grew it in their garden, but it disappeared after a while.

In fact, we would like to introduce many more, but this is the end of my introduction to the Higashiyama Botanical Garden.
